March 3 I met my Australia friends Tim Arnot and Adrian Robert in Chengdu airport at 14:30. Then we go to Qianwei by road to see the Jiayang Power Company Railwail's(Shibanxi N.G) passenger and the coal train. The Jiayang Power Compang Railway (another name is Ba-Shi Railway) was built in 1958 .It was open in July 12, 1959 with 19.84 km in length and 762 mm in width. There are 9 stations along the whole line. The schedule of the passenger is 07:00,10:30,14:00,17:30. It starts from Shixi station to Huangcunjing station. Just a few minutes stop, the train will return soon. The whole process is about 150 minutes. There are some coal trains and the goods trains running among the passenger¡¯s train , but there is no regular running time. The Ba-shi railway main stations and distance between the next two stations. Shixi<-4400m->Yuejin<-5000m->Mifengyan<-3000m->Caiziba<-2000m->Xianrenjiao<-2240->Jiaobajing<-1400m->Bagou<-1600m->Huangcunjing In this trip, we main took photo between Mifengyan and Caiziba station. Caiziba in March is the world of the rape flower. A field with full water is ready to transplant rice seedlings. March is the most beautiful season of Ba-shi Railway. March 4¡ª9 We took the train to the mountain at 07:00 in the morning every day and came back at 16:45 .Until the 15:30 train left ,we returned the hotel.

Caiziba and Mifengyan 11:20 passenger , Caiziba 14:20 coal train, Mifengyan S- curve 14:55 passenger ,Mifengyan S- curve ,15 minutes late 9 Sunny. No coal train today, we walk around Caiziba area. 10 Cloudy .We didn¡¯t go to the mountains. We went to the Yuejin station which is the biggest station of Bashi railway. It is the place where the Jiayang company located and the narrow electric running at. (We know there is few place still has the narrow electric in the world.) It is a interesting place. The local people are very friendly. So I think the Ba-shi railway is worthy to visit. We went to Chengdu by bus at 1:30 pm and visit the Happy Mountain Budda along the road. 11 We flight to Zhengzhou at 13:30 by CZ6412.Then we drove to Yinghao. 12 Windy.The Yinghao railway was built in 1962 year. It is 9.8 km.Huangmen¡ªLiangwa¡ªXiangyang¡ªHouying--Yinghao.There is a ¡°Y¡± line at Liangwa station and Yinghao station ,so the locomotive can turn there.The railway between Liangwa and Yinghao is downhill. But it is not too sleep. Houying is a very good photo shot. No.015 is working today. 13 Sunny today. We went to depot and workshop. It is surprise that No.013 and No.015 are ready to go. No. 003 and No.017 and No.006 are stopping in the yard.No.004 has finished the repair. The workers formed a new locomotive by the old materials. The number maybe is 008.It is 1 km from Liangwa coal mine to Xiangyang planning station.No. 013 is working today. 14 Cloudy and sunny. We took photo at Xingyang brickwork area. The train is the tender first when it left brickwork. The No.207 is cold and stop in the workshop. No. 007 is working today. 15 Cloudy today. We finished the N.G. trip and went to Beijing in the afternoon by flight. I start my next party who are Sammy and Rick from America in night. 16 Sunny today. We visited the 27- wagon factory. SY 0891 and 0732 are working now. JF2446 is in repairing , but it will work again in May. Maybe it need whole repair in October. We visited the steam museum afternoon and went Pingdingshan by train K279 at 17:00.
JF2446 builder plate 17 Sunny and Cloudy. We visited the depot after we arrived. The locomotive in the shed is QJ6450 ,SY1687,JS8030,6225,8062,5644,6429,8157,8338,8120,8122,8065,8421,6253.The locomotives are in repairing,QJ6690,JS8057,8054,8068,8060. The diesels are working at Pingdingshan,DF7G ¨C5121,DF10D0087,0088,0060,DGk3B003. We took photo at Baofeng station for the passengers at 2:10 pm. 18 Cloudy. We took photo for passenger at Fanzhuang crossing at 5:25 pm. 19 We took the sunrise in Pingdingshan shed. Then we drove to Yinghao(270 km). No.013 and No.015 are working today. 20 Unfortunately, 30 thousand tons coal was carried by lorry. So the steam train has no work. We decided to go to Xingyang brickwork.The NO. 007 is working today there. 21 Sunny and cloudy. After photo in the morning, we went to Zhengzhou to take train 1056 16:08 to Shenyangbei. 22 We arrived at 12:45.We visited the Sujiatun repairing factory which was open just a few days ago. I saw many engines there. SY1012(Fushun) has finished the repair.SY1577(Beitai),SY1286(Zhalainuer) are ready to be repair. GJ1018 is working for shifting the repairing engine.  23 Sunny and Cloudy.We visit the Mudanjiang power plant today. QJ1675,1830 are working ,but they will finish at the end of the March. The diesel would be rent there.In cement facotry ,QJ1576 is repairing,QJ6890 is working. 24 Sunny and Cloudy.Jixi ¡®s Chengzihe coal mine:The engines came back one by one at 7:00. After checking, another shift left the station at 8:30.We followed the SY1351 and the SY 1437 to the Zhengyang coal mine and the Xinghua coal mine.SY0863 was working at the Zhengyang coal mine.SY1351 left Xinghua coal mine to Zhengyang coal mine at 10:30.SY1437 left Zhengyan to Xinghua at 11:30. Afternoon we want to visit the workshop,but we must pay 30¡ª50 dollars. We think it is not worthy to do. So we went to Qiaonan station. One train with double header(SY0863,1437) from Zhengyang to Jixi was stopping Qiaonan. After one hour ,it headed for Jixi. The engine list in Chengzihe is as follow: SY1544,1437,1351,4058,0863,0590,0733,0237(be repairing). 25 Cloudy and Snowy.We just stayed at Hengshan station.We saw some engines,as followed:SY1095,0804,1369,0746,1340,1018. 26 In Didao coal mine SY050,0407,1205,1446 are working .At the same time ,I know there are 2 SY in Muling coal mine. There are 2 SY in Donghai coal mine.There is 1 SY in Zhangxin coal mine. But the time is too short, I didn¡¯t see the engines. In Huanan area,New Year, for the safty reason,there is no engine working,they stop in the garage. It is possible to work around 20 March. 27 Sunny and Cloudy.We stayed in Hegang. We got a passenger (SY1498) from Fuli coal mine to Jipei station at 7:50.I surprised to find some engines SY3013,3014,3024(was repairing),3029 made in Changchun factory.SY 1498,1685,1030,0799,0635,0905,1370,1464,0498,0683(was repairing) were made in Tangshan factory. There are a few engines working in the coal mine. I didn¡¯t see them. 28 Today we stayed in the Zhalainuoer open coal mine. I think here is the paradise of the SY. There are about 50 SY working .I saw the phenomenon that 16 engines worked in the open coal mine at the same time. You can see this condition only here in the world now. The passenger train with one coach went to the bottom and Nanzhan from 501 station at 7:35 everyday. The Nanzhan and the shed are always open to you. The local people are very kindly.
